My Desire For Asian Baby Effects My Name Selection, Is That OK?

I wish to name my daughter Sakura (nothing to do with Naruto actually, i like cherry blossoms) that'd be Saki (blossom) for short and i want my son to be named Akira (intellegent), is this ok? Keep in mind that i am so obsessed with Japan that i plan to marry a Japanese man, therefore is it alright to name them this?
